Idea Competition Launch Marking George Town World Heritage Site

Perlancaran Pertandingan Idea Menandakan Tapak Warisan Dunia George Town

The State Government of Penang, Malaysia invites submissions for an international competition for design ideas to physically brand the historic city of George Town, Penang in conjunction with its listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.

The winning entry will enter into negotiations with the State Government of Penang, Malaysia to implement the design. Please refer to the Design Brief and Prizes.

STAGE 1 News

The Chief Minister of The State of Penang, Malaysia has announced the Stage 1 short-listed entries on 21-12-2009 and thanks all participants for their contribution in marking George Town as a World Hertage Site. STAGE 2 News

Congratulation to MGT132 (Sculpture Work from Malaysia) as winner and MGT39 ( Chord Studio from Australia ) as honorary mentioned!  The Chief Minister of The State of Penang made the announcement on 31-3-2010 at George Town World Heritage Office. Exhibition of the 4 shortlisted entries will be displayed for a month at George Town World Heritage office until 30-4-2010.
